Lawmakers Condemn Executive Order Targeting Protected Speech
Representatives Mark Pocan (WI-02), Jared Huffman (CA-02), and Pramila Jayapal (WA-07) led a letter to President Trump, joined by 28 colleagues, expressing concerns over his executive order designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization.
The letter criticizes the order and related memorandum, known as NSPM-7, stating that the language and authority pose serious constitutional, statutory, and civil liberties risks, particularly if used to target political dissent, protest, or ideological speech.
