2025 Great Alaska ShakeOut Reminds the State to Drop, Cover and Hold On

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - This annual event encourages citizens across the state to practice protecting themselves from earthquakes. With Alaska experiencing 50-100 earthquakes daily, practice is crucial.
Denali Montessori Elementary School participated in the Great Alaska ShakeOut, where children quickly found safe positions, covering their heads and necks, and sheltering under desks as they should in a real earthquake.
