XChat: Elon Musk's Private Messaging App
XChat, currently in beta mode, is Elon Musk's newly announced encrypted messaging and calling feature built into X (formerly Twitter).
According to Musk, XChat is
built on "a whole new architecture" with "Bitcoin-style encryption", supporting features like vanishing messages, file sharing, and cross-platform audio and video calls without requiring a phone number.
