Utah GOP Moves to Block Changes to Electoral Map
Utah's Republican Party is attempting to block a proposed electoral map and repeal a 2018 redistricting law. The map, proposed by the Legislature, is the least competitive for Democrats out of four options considered.
A judge had previously struck down boundaries drawn in 2021, deeming them unconstitutional. The Utah GOP had endorsed the proposed map just two weeks prior, but has now filed a petition for a referendum to reject the plan.
