YouTube experienced a brief outage, but is now back online. The issue started at roughly 7pm ET/4pm PT, with reports of playback errors emerging from various regions worldwide.
According to Downdetector, a crowdsourced platform for outage reports, approximately 350,000 users were affected by 8pm ET/5pm PT. Error messages appeared on desktop and mobile platforms, including "An error occurred. Please try again later" on desktop and "Something went wrong" on Android and iOS.
The outage impacted YouTube, YouTube Music, and YouTube TV. Google confirmed the issue has been resolved, releasing a statement on X.
