The Royal British Legion's annual Poppy Appeal has been officially launched in Shirley.
The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Annette Mackenzie, launched the appeal, calling on the public to wear their poppies with pride in support of the Armed Forces community.
This year's campaign encourages everyone to reflect, remember, and support — whether by wearing a poppy, attending a local remembrance event, or donating to help veterans and their families.
Residents are invited to come together to honour the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our freedoms.
On Remembrance Sunday, November 9, services will be held at St James the Great Church, including a two-minute silence at 11am.
