New Local Link Routes to Boost Student Accommodation in Letterkenny
An upcoming workshop between Donegal County Council and Local Link is expected to highlight the need for additional bus routes around the outskirts of Letterkenny.
The shortage of public transport in certain areas of Letterkenny is limiting the availability of student accommodation, according to Councillor Donal Coyle.
“There are so many people who have rooms available but no transport,”
Cllr Coyle explained that when the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) recently appealed for student accommodation, transport was the main obstacle for many people wanting to offer rooms.
