The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of Dankwara Mohammed as a Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of the North-East.
According to the PSC'S Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, Mohammed was elevated from the rank of an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) to replace Mr. Sahabu Yahaya, who had since retired from service.
The commission also promoted Mr. Abibo Reuben from the rank of Commissioner of Police (CP) to AIG, and 11 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were promoted to the rank of CP.
The PSC has promoted a total of 483 officers, including Mohammed, Reuben, and the 11 DCPs.
