H.S. FOOTBALL: Miller breaks career TD record, spoils Pottsville’s senior night

Pottsville — Luke Miller broke North Schuylkill’s all-time career rushing touchdown mark and the Spartans spoiled Pottsville’s senior day with a 48-8 win Friday.

Miller scored his 53rd career rushing touchdown to become North Schuylkill’s all-time leader, surpassing the record previously held by Joey Flail, who recorded 52 career rushing touchdowns.

“It’s really cool, and Joey helped me become a better athlete and I really appreciate everything he did for me,”
“I can’t do it without my team blocking for me and I’m really thankful for them.”

Miller ran for four scores in the game. North Schuylkill (7-3; 6-2) has secured the third seed in the District 11 Class 3A playoffs.
