President Donald Trump has suggested making concessions to China to alleviate trade tensions.
"Sure they’ll have to make concessions" if China does not want to be hit by extra tariffs on its exports to the U.S.
Trump stated this as he embarked on a tour of Asian countries, adding "I guess we will, too," to reach a deal.
The President mentioned the current 157% tariff on Chinese goods, saying "I don’t think that’s sustainable for them."
Trump is set to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in South Korea next week.
