FrieslandCampina-Milcobel Merger Approved
The European Commission has approved the proposed merger between Dutch dairy producer FrieslandCampina and Belgian dairy company Milcobel.
This approval is the last required worldwide from authorities, as stated by FrieslandCampina. The merger is part of the company's reorganization program, launched in 2023 to optimize commercial operations.
Once completed, the merger will create a new entity that will be one of the largest European dairy players. As
a single, future-oriented international organization, it aims to strengthen its position in the market.
The merger plan was announced in December 2024 by FrieslandCampina, one of the world's largest dairy cooperatives, and Milcobel.
