Ohio High School Football Official Playoff Pairings Set
The Ohio High School Athletic Association released the official playoff pairings for the start of football postseason play this week late on Sunday afternoon.
Three teams in the East District - Steubenville, Barnesville, and Indian Valley - all earned first-round byes as a top four seed in their respective regions.
New this season, the playoff field in each region was trimmed from 16 to 12, with the top four earning the byes. Seeds 5-8 host first-round games this Friday.
- (3) Steubenville earns 1st round bye and will host the winner of (11) Athens - (6) Buckeye Valley on Friday, Nov.
- (11) Johnstown at (6) Indian Creek, with the winner visiting (3) Jonathan Alder in regional quarters Nov.
