Last Samurai Standing Trailer and Key Art Debut
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and key art for Last Samurai Standing, available to stream on November 13, 2025.
The series is based on the “Ikusagami” series by historical novelist Shogo Imamura, a recipient of the 166th Naoki Prize.
Plot
Set in the late 19th century during the Meiji period, Last Samurai Standing is a life-and-death game where 292 warriors gather at Kyoto’s Tenryuji Temple, each lured by a massive cash prize.
- Participants don a single wooden tag and must steal their rivals’ tags.
- The goal is to race to Tokyo and claim victory.
Shujiro Saga enters this game to save his ailing wife and child.
Starring Junichi Okada as lead character Shujiro Saga, the series will be available on Netflix.
