Investigators are looking into a fire at the home of Portland City Councilor Candace Avalos, stating there is no evidence she was specifically targeted.
The fire was reported at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Sunday in the Mill Park neighborhood, with firefighters finding several vehicles and a carport on fire upon arrival.
According to initial findings, the fire did not start in Councilor Avalos' vehicle or her other property, and no accelerants or incendiary devices were found.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
