UN Rapporteur Condemns Israel's Actions in Palestine
The UN's special rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, stated that Israel's actions in Palestine are "the culmination of decades of moral and political failure".
Through unlawful actions and deliberate omissions, too many states have armed, funded, and shielded Israel's militarized apartheid in the occupied Palestinian territory.
Albanese condemned the complicity of countries that continue to arm and support Israel, and described the attacks in the Gaza Strip as genocide.
She began her virtual address to the UN General Assembly's Third Committee by honoring the victims and survivors of all genocides, past and present, on the 751st day of the genocide in Gaza.
