A suspect has been identified in the killing of a Southern California sheriff's deputy as flags fly at half-staff statewide.
The suspect in the fatal shooting of San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy Andrew Nuñez was identified as Angelo Jose Saldivar, 47, a resident of San Bernardino, California.
The killing occurred while Deputy Nuñez was responding to a domestic violence call Monday afternoon.
A makeshift memorial is growing outside the sheriff's Rancho Cucamonga station in honor of the slain deputy.
No statement from the suspect or his representatives has been released.
