The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has submitted its budget recommendations to the federal government ahead of the November budget release.
The chamber is seeking priorities that will create a competitive business and trade environment, amid economic uncertainty caused by the ongoing global trade war.
“What’s going to be most important is what is in the actual budget next week,”
said La-Na Fragomeni, president of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce.
The federal Liberal government has been unable to reach a trade deal with the United States, particularly one that protects the steel, aluminum, and auto industries.
The Ontario Chamber's recommendations aim to address these challenges and promote a more competitive business environment.
