Top Islamic Financial Institutions 2025: Rankings and Performance

Islamic lenders have continued to show asset growth, outpacing their conventional counterparts. The 275 lenders in The Banker's Top Islamic Financial Institutions for 2025 saw a 10% increase in sharia-compliant assets for 2024, compared to 1.7% asset growth for the Top 1000 World Banks.

The growth is no longer limited to the Gulf Cooperation Council states, with Asia-Pacific lenders showing similar gains to their Middle Eastern counterparts. Countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Malaysia are driving Islamic growth ahead of conventional banking.
