Sherwood Park U13 Wolverines Chase CDMFA Championship Title
The Sherwood Park Wolverines U13 9/side secured a spot in the Mills Division Tier 2 championship with a 40-34 win over the St. Albert's 49'ers in the quarter finals on October 26.
The team, led by Zack Roed, showed determination and skill, overcoming an early lead by St. Albert's to score 26 unanswered points. Roed finished the game with five touchdowns, including two interceptions for touchdowns, two receiving TDs, and one running.
Despite losing their starting quarterback Emmett Leible and backup QB Ryan O'Gorman to injuries in the third quarter, the team persevered, with Roed filling in as a fourth-string QB, a position he had never played before.
The Sherwood Park Wolverines are hungry for gold.
