New Higgins Waterfront Project
A Missoula developer is reimagining the former Missoulian site with 80 new homes and a rooftop restaurant, aiming to better fit the city’s vision for waterfront development.
Cole Bergquist has controlled the site for the past few years, but earlier plans ran into controversy over scale and legal complications involving his Utah business partner.
Now, Bergquist says he's partnering with Hawkins, a Boise-based development group that he says is a "perfect fit" for the next chapter.
He says the new design is more efficient, fits the site better, and follows the downtown Missoula master plan.
The project aims to bring new life to Missoula's riverfront with a rooftop bar and 80 new homes.
