Getzenrodeo "One Last Dance" – A Hugely Popular Event Calling Time?

Organisers of the Getzenrodeo are considering not continuing the event after staging its 11th edition, a German Hard Enduro race widely regarded as one of the best on the calendar.

The event recently hosted the sixth round of the Hard Enduro World Championship in Germany, where Mani Lettenbichler claimed the 2025 world title. However, the future of the event is in doubt due to commitment and costs.

"It is a lot of work... and we put many hours into the planning and running, but we do it as a passion and as a team. At this time we are not sure if we want to carry on because we only want to do this if the will and the desire is there to put in the hard work."

Co-organiser Matthias Schubert expressed these concerns during the 2025 race weekend, highlighting the dedication required to stage the event.

Author's summary: Getzenrodeo's future uncertain due to high costs and commitment.
