Glen Road Burglary Treated as Racially Motivated Hate Incident
Police are seeking information regarding a burglary at a West Belfast house on Thursday night.
At approximately 8:30pm, three men approached a property on Glen Road, forced their way in, and searched the rooms before fleeing.
The family present during the incident was left badly shaken. Authorities are treating the incident as a racially motivated hate crime.
“This was a disgraceful incident where a family were subjected to their home being invaded and ransacked by a number of men. People have a right to feel safe in their home, this must have been a terrifying ordeal for the family and I’d like to express my support and solidarity to them. I’m deeply concerned that police believe this incident was racially motivated.” - SDLP West Belfast Councillor Paul Doherty
