Students Clean Up Pier After FOCO Party
Some students took a break from partying to clean up the pier shoreline.
The Queen's Conference on Ocean Sustainability (QCOS), an on-campus club, hosted its annual cleanup event in October.
- Over 15 students, including club members and non-members, participated in the cleanup.
- Kingston locals also joined the effort as the event progressed.
- Seven large bags of garbage were collected during the cleanup.
Big partying weekends like FOCO can result in massive amounts of littering by the pier.
Co-Presidents of QCOS, Ava Shivgulam and Shaneen Khan, explained the importance of the cleanup in an interview with The Journal.
