Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan linked the country’s 23% poverty rate to the lack of proper public education during a parliamentary discussion on the 2026 draft budget.
Pashinyan blamed past governments for neglecting to improve the education system, citing both academic policy and infrastructure.
We are showing economic growth and significant money circulation, yet we do not see a substantial reduction in poverty. I have thought a lot about this phenomenon. Pashinyan emphasized the need for improvement.
