Unifi, Inc., owner of the Repreve fiber brand, reported a wider Adjusted loss in the fiscal first quarter ended September 29, with sales declining 7.9 percent year-over-year to $135.7 million.
The sales decline was primarily attributed to trade and tariff-related uncertainty and demand volatility across each business segment. Gross profit was $3.4 million, with a gross margin of 2.5 percent, compared to $9.5 million and 6.4 percent in the first quarter of fiscal 2025.
Unifi launched an additional restructuring program in October 2025 to enhance its cost structure and drive stronger profitability and cash flows in fiscal 2026.
Author's summary: Unifi reports a wider fiscal Q1 loss due to tariff uncertainty.
