Incumbent Town of Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti has declared victory over Democratic candidate Joseph Scianablo.
Ten supervisor seats were up for election across Long Island, along with several council positions and a mayoral post. Nassau Republicans retained all three supervisor seats in the county.
“We took all three towns,”
said Nassau Republican Committee Chairman Joseph G. at the Coral House in Baldwin. Other winners include Supervisor Jennifer DeSena in North Hempstead and Supervisor Joseph Saladino in Oyster Bay.
Results were announced late Tuesday night after polling booths closed across Long Island.
