Groups supporting older Coloradans have increased efforts to help them avoid losing money to cybercriminals. Recently, 78-year-old Rob Horton from Denver took a class on scam avoidance, recognizing he's a prime target.
Baby Boomers and earlier generations lose billions of dollars annually to financial scams. According to the FBI's 2024 Elder Fraud report, Coloradans filed nearly 15,000 complaints, ranking 17th in the nation.
