George Springer is back in the Toronto Blue Jays' lineup, batting leadoff as Toronto hosts the Seattle Mariners in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series.
Seattle leads the best-of-seven series 3-2. Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Springer was in good spirits after his X-rays and CT scan came back negative.
It was going to take a whole lot more, I think, to keep him out of the lineup.
Schneider shared that he checked in with Springer via text, and Springer told him to "shut up", also doing the same when he arrived.
Springer's return comes after he went down following a 95.6 m.p.h. incident.
