A New Partnership to Support People with Brain Injuries
Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from head injuries.
They have partnered with Thompsons Solicitors, MAPS Benevolent Trust, and the Players of the Postcode Lottery to support people with brain injuries.
After brain injury people are discharged home to a family network without wider support.
Often, individuals spend months in hospital and rehabilitation, only to be discharged without understanding their condition or knowing how to access support.
Headway Devon works with around 100 people weekly, but many more go home alone, unaware of the charity's services.
Thanks to the new partnership, Headway Devon can now provide support in hospitals, reaching more people in need.
