Tragedy at Haunted Witches Market
A Halloween-themed market at McKenna Park turned tragic when an oak tree fell, killing one person and injuring several others.
The "Haunted Witches Market" was hosted by Centaur Sisters of the Moon Events on Saturday, Oct. 25, and featured vendor booths, face painting, henna tattoos, and trick-or-treating.
A 31-year-old man was killed after being struck by a branch from the fallen tree.
According to Pierce County Sheriff's Office Deputy Carly Cappetto, the incident occurred during the early afternoon hours.
