Woodbridge Man with Violent History Arrested

A 27-year-old Woodbridge man with a history of violent crimes in Prince William County since 2016 was arrested on Sunday.

At 10:04 a.m., officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 15000 block of Illinois Road in Woodbridge. According to Prince William County police Lt. Jonathan Perok, an occupant in a dark-colored sedan fired "multiple rounds into the air" while driving down the road.

A short time later, a resident on nearby Maryland Avenue reported an unknown man wearing a mask banging loudly on their door. The suspect was quickly detained by responding officers and was found to be intoxicated, according to Perok.
