Aurora Expands Self-Driving Trucks Route

Aurora has added a 600-mile driverless route from Fort Worth to El Paso, its second route for self-driving trucks.

The company announced the expansion alongside its third-quarter earnings report, also stating it has completed over 100,000 driverless miles on public roads with five self-driving trucks.

Aurora cites staff challenges and the difficulty of completing a 10-hour haul in a single day, making the Fort Worth-to-El Paso route compelling to carriers.

Aurora's initial commercial service began with a Dallas-to-Houston route, launch customers included Hirschbach Motor Lines and Uber Freight.
