Unauthorized Chicken and Rooster Caging near University Village
Chickens and roosters were seen confined in cages on Liguria Avenue in front of the Zeta Beta Tau house on Wednesday, Oct.
The University of Miami (UM) has not approved this trapping, despite having authorized animal removal in the past, such as with the muscovy ducks.
The University is not involved, nor has it authorized, any trapping activity.
A reporter from The Miami Hurricane attempted to investigate and take photos, but was told to "keep moving" by a man in an unmarked vehicle.
UM is investigating the incident and has worked with the U.S. authorities in similar cases.
