Pike Man Arrested for Breaking into Home and Threatening Woman
A Pike County man has been arrested for breaking into a house and threatening a woman inside.
Police were alerted to the incident when a distraught and naked man showed up at the back door of the police station screaming for help.
The man told police that Richard May, 38, of Pikeville, had broken into a woman’s house and was threatening her with brass knuckles.
- The man said he was able to escape from the house to run for help.
- When police went to the home, May was not there and they spoke with the woman living at the residence.
- She told police that May had broken her screen door and picked the lock to get into her house.
