New U.S. Strike on Alleged Drug-Smuggling Boat

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that a U.S. strike on a vessel allegedly operated by the Tren de Aragua gang resulted in the deaths of 6 men on board.

The strike occurred in the Caribbean Sea, in international waters, and was the first to take place at night, according to Hegseth.

"The vessel was known by our intelligence to be involved in illicit narcotics smuggling, was transiting along a known narco-trafficking route, and carrying narcotics,"

Hegseth shared a video of the strike on social media, marked as unclassified.
