With one day to go in Helena and East Helena’s municipal elections, Lewis and Clark County officials reported a steady flow of voters dropping off their ballots on Monday.
As of Monday noon, election officials had accepted 7,553 ballots, approximately 35% of the 21,220 mailed out. This translates to just over 30% of eligible voters in Helena and East Helena having already voted.
Turnout figures are expected to rise significantly before the end of the day Tuesday.
