Election Roundup: Lumberton City Council
Lumberton City Council members Melissa Robinson, John Carroll, John Cantey, and Owen Thomas have been reelected.
Each member won by a wide margin, with Cantey receiving 202 votes, more than 88%, in Precinct 5.
“First and foremost, I’d like to thank God, all of our church families, civic groups and especially the residents of Precinct 5 for entrusting me to a sixth term as their representative,”
Cantey has been a member of the council since 2005 and has now won a sixth term.
