According to The Athletic's Jim Bowden, the Pirates are potential fits for several top 50 free agents, including Trent Grisham and Luis Arráez, as they look to fill holes in the lineup and bullpen.
Grisham is coming off a strong season with the Yankees, slashing .235/.348/.464 and setting career-highs in home runs (34) and RBI (74) in 143 games.
The Pirates have historically shied away from substantial free agent splashes, but there is mounting pressure for them to make some relatively larger moves this winter.
