UPDATE: Second Person Shot in Abbotsford
A 68-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident on Ridgeview Drive on Monday morning.
Gunfire rang out in Abbotsford for the second time in less than three days. The Abbotsford Police Department responded to a fatal shooting at 9:22 a.m. in the 31300 block of Ridgeview Drive.
A 68-year-old male suffered a fatal gunshot wound while in his car. Three nearby schools were placed under a temporary shelter-in-place protocol, which has since been lifted.
A significant police presence will remain in the area throughout the day supporting the ongoing investigation.
The Abbotsford Police Department reported no arrest has been made at this time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been deployed to Abbotsford to help investigate this shooting.
